All teachers can teach to high standards given time and the right assistance." (Parameter 1)

Lyn Sharratt

LEARNING ABOUT & Learning To...

Quality teacher professional learning is not just about communicating key messages. It is about expert listening, expert noticing and providing expert interventions.

A process that works

A Common Challenge

As teachers seek to apply Sharratt’s practices in lessons, a range of challenges may emerge. These may be specific grade-level issues, gaps in teacher knowledge, or inconsistent skill levels. As a result, practice may be seen as ‘patchy’ and teachers may desire greater support and feedback.

The Solution

A range of tools and processes will illuminate exactly where your school’s strengths and needs are, valuing teacher voice and student classroom experiences.

Meeting teaching teams in a smaller setting allows for direct and bespoke support which meets the needs of the teachers and learners in their care.

What to expect

A clear plan, informed by data and internal voice, will direct our project at a macro level.

Through self-evaluation and observation, each teaching team will receive a tailored learning plan which helps to elevate their personal understanding and classroom application.

Ongoing data-collecting tools will be used to measure progress and gather feedback, informing the next steps in the process.

The Learning Fair

Sharratt’s Learning Fair is a significant and deliberate step in school improvement. You will receive direct support in knowing what to be collecting, when to be collecting it and how you can celebrate the work of your team. All you need to consider is whether to invite other schools to attend your Fair and celebrate the incredible progress your school has made!
