For several years I have been engaging with Lyn Sharratt’s work on Clarity & the Clarity Learning Suite, leading to my accreditation by Lyn as a CLS Consultant.
In this role I help leaders evalute how they are making progress and the next steps the school should take. The positive changes in culture which come from deep implementation are so very visible and rewarding.
Read further to know how I help schools enact key practices with fidelity and consistency, so that every every student in every classroom benefits, and every teacher feels supported.
This series supports whole staff & teaching teams in applying the practices described by Sharratt to their direct situation and context.
This is primarily small group learning so teachers have direct support with their current context:
Think: Teaching teams, Faculties, Stage Teams.
This series is aimed at the Learning Leaders.
Knowing how to support your staff, what data to be collecting, which routines to engage with, and how to elevate practices across the entire school are explored.
Student agency begins with having clarity of learning, success, expectations, processes and the skills to succeed independently and collaboratively.
Your students will engage in all parts of the Instruction Waterfall Chart daily, knowing how to achieve and make exceptional growth.
Having every student benefit from Lyn’s research is dependent upon the daily actions of every teacher in the school.
Your teachers will master these practices and achieve deep understanding, leading to routine practice.
Having great data keeps leaders informed of where Clarity success lies, and what is yet to become systematic.
Leaders will have the tools, resources and routines which enable effective data collecting and analysis, along with the support to interpret and determine next steps.
"While the CLARITY Learning Suite has been designed to guide people through the material comprehensively, there are many times when support from a coach or consultant is helpful.
The research and practices outlined in the CLS are comprehensive. As each school’s journey is different, having an external expert brings deep understanding of not only the work, but of how success is being achieved in other contexts. A Clarity Consultant can operate as a guide, mentor, support agent or critical friend to leaders, and provide expert professional learning for teachers."
